MacFarland Painting, Inc is one of the largest painting companies in Metro Detroit!
We are growing rapidly and are in need of new, full-time painters to join our crew!
The IDEAL candidate for this position has proven experience painting (carpentry experience is a BIG bonus) with various tools and in various atmospheres/heights, while being respectful of the client's property and needs.
You MUST be reliable and deft, as well as possess great attention to detail in completing your duties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform full surface prep tasks before painting (sanding, removing wallpaper/old paint, covering furniture, taping off walls/trim/ceilings, etc.)
- Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty/plaster
- Paint surfaces according to instruction using brushes, spray guns, and paint rollers
- Comply with OSHA guidelines
- Complete minor maintenance duties as needed
- Practice self-supervision on small jobs and ENSURE you complete each project in an efficient, timely manner
- Complete jobs, utilizing appropriate finishes and applications in adherence to the Project Manager's instruction
- Clean areas, supplies, and equipment at the completion of the project
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proven experience with painting
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools
- Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on ladders
- Conscientious with great attention to detail
- Carpentry & Stain experience is not required, but a great bonus!
